Description

Live Shadow is an immersive visual and auditory experience that combines live capture, music, and light. The audience can interact with the artwork by dancing or using facial expressions, which generate unique music and visual effects.

The artwork projects images on an old Greek arch, and the ethereal sound creates an echo of history, giving the building new life. The technology behind the work uses a camera to capture motion and stream MIDI signals to Ableton Live for chord generation. The artist experimented with other technologies such as Face OSC and Kinect to increase accuracy but ultimately found the current method to be more flexible and efficient.
